This week the elementary kids had a day off school so we decided to get out of town for awhile, it was suppose to rain, but instead it was a beautiful dry day. Feeding the ducks at Pioneers Park.

Got back to nature, it was beautiful every where. God is awesome.

We played some softball.

We were the first ones to try out the new playground at Pioneers Park. Even the big kids had fun trying out the new playground!!!!

Kemonterious shows the new kid in town, James how to do Bible Study. This week we are studying Ruth and her loyalty to Naomi.

Make Music unto the Lord

This week we learned about David and how he loved to write songs, sing songs. He loved to praise God. We got into the spirit by making some of our own instruments and then having a jam session. Dez works on a little drum set made out of pvc pipe.

Friendship

We decided to continue our study on David and learn about Friendship, we made some bisquits but also learned about the ingredients of what makes a great friendship. Jonathan and David are great examples of what to look for in a friend.

Kemonterious Turns Eleven

Our Summer Trip

Finally after of a summer of saving money and working hard at Obasi our much anticipated summer trip was here. We decided to go explore Columbus Nebraska, it is full of history and a great water park. Taj crosses the alligator pond.

Then off to the Y for some fun.

For lunch we ate at a cool restaurant

And then took a tour of them making rootbeer. We found out the rootbeer goes all over the state, even to Lincoln, at Skeeter Barnes Restaurant.

We had to check out this cool boat invention, to help in the war to get big things across rivers.

Home again, it was a great trip.

Week of August 7th

This week our hero of faith is David. Our theme is: We aren't limited by our age or size. We can still serve the Lord. Our memory verse 1 Timothy 4:12 You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, witht the way you live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life. It is a really good verse to remind us to be an example regardless of our age or size. It was a really long verse so we spent a lot of time trying to learn it through a index card team game.
